Eichhorn, Lisa Marie

Lisa Marie Eichhorn, 55, passed away Monday, April 9, 2012, from cancer. At her request there will be no funeral or visitation. She was cremated by Iowa Cremation.

Lisa spent most her life in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Jefferson High School. She lived about 10 years in Duluth, Minn. She enjoyed time spent at the family cabin near Troy Mills on the Wapsipinicon and going to Waubeek.

Lisa appreciated nature, animals, and music; she loved to dance and had a beautiful voice.

She had various occupations, including work at the Frey Animal Hospital, as a housekeeper in care facilities, and as a security guard at Iowa games, hotels and casinos. Lately she did temp work at General Mills.

Lisa was born the daughter of Stanley and Rubey Jarosh on April 4, 1957.

She is survived by her son, Chris Eichhorn; father, Stanley; brother, Danny (Gwen) Jarosh; and nephew, Ian Jarosh. She has several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Lisa was fortunate to have several lifelong friends who were by her side at the end.

The family would like to thank University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for their care and treatments, and Iowa Hospice for the kindness and care they gave in her final week at home.

A memorial fund has been established under “Lisa Eichhorn” at Wells Fargo.
