Ehresman, Marian L.
Marian L. Ehresman, 83, a resident of Northbrook Manor in Cedar Rapids, formerly of Monticello and Hiawatha, died peacefully at Northbrook on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hope United Church of Christ, Hiawatha. Pastor Mary Beth Hartenstein will officiate. Burial: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tipton Masonic Cemetery in Tipton. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; two daughters, Susan Burdick of Cedar Rapids and Stephanie Hatfield of Newhall; a son, Douglas (Linda) of Golden, Colo.; a brother, Dale Lange of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Bethany Lange of Leesburg, Fla.; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Paulsen; a brother, Harold Lange; and an infant daughter.
Marian was born at home in Tipton on Jan. 31, 1929, the daughter of Edgar and Milda Conrad Lange. She attended school in Tipton and graduated in 1947. Marian married Harold E. Ehresman on June 8, 1947, in Clarence.
Marian was a homemaker. She was a member of Hope United Church of Christ and several local bridge clubs.
Marian was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
