Eggers, Dianne Lynne
Dianna Lynne Eggers, 66, of Cedar Rapids, was released to her home in Heaven on Saturday, June 25, 2011. Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Concordia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jerry Doelinger. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Survivors include her daughters, Pamela Eggers and Jennifer Eggers Stearns, both of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Darlene Hotopp of Des Moines, Mayme Ann (Bill) Smith and Janice Alden, both of Plano, Texas, Donna (Don) Coon of Cedar Rapids, and Laura Grau of Garland, Texas; a brother-in-law, Rev. Frank Pieper of Emden, Ill.; and grandchildren, Sarah, Caleb and Amira Eggers and Mackenzie Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Joyce Pieper; and a brother, Lowell Grau.
Dianna was born May 12, 1945, in Clinton, to William and Helen Grau. She graduated from DeWitt High School and then received a bachelor's degree in English and Journalism from the University of Iowa. Dianna taught journalism and language arts in Washington, Iowa, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
