Eganhouse, Andrew M.

Andrew M. Eganhouse, 23, of Cedar Rapids, died at St. Luke's Hospital on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church, by the Rev. David O'Connor. A vigil service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Friends may also call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Andy is survived by his parents, Mike Eganhouse and Pattie Hanlon, both of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Krista (Greg) Howell of Dubuque, Amber (Robert) Ortiz of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Alex Eganhouse and friend Danny Upton of Huntsville, Ala.; and grandparents, Gerald and Barbara Eganhouse and Mary Hanlon, all of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Matt Hanlon.

Andy was born Sept. 28, 1987, in Cedar Rapids. He attended Iowa Falls Community College. He was employed by Sign Productions. Andy was a gifted guitar player and vocalist. He liked skateboards, bicycles, and motorcycles. He was proficient at taking things apart and putting them back together.

He will be remembered as a gentle sensitive soul who will be greatly missed.
