EDWIN "JOHN" CLARK
Cedar Rapids
Edwin "John" Clark, 72, passed away April 15, 2017, in Surprise, Ariz.
John was born to Marcus and Sylvia Clark on Sept. 3, 1944, in Detroit, Mich. He graduated from Walled Lake, Mich., High School in 1962 and married the love of his life, Lowell Montgomery, in 1967. They lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, for 30 years until retiring to Surprise, Ariz., in 2005.
John was a sales manager for Pangborn and owned with his wife, Lowell's Landing Marina and Campground in North Buena Vista, Iowa.
Throughout his life, John was active in many service programs: Michigan Easter Seals, Iowa Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities, Iowa Pilot Parents, Iowa Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) and Surprise Eagles No. 4534.
John leaves behind his loving wife, Lowell Kay Clark; his children, Kristin Kay Clark, Karin Leigh Clark and Marcus Raymond Clark; and sisters, Jane Clark, Marianne Willman, Elizabeth Clancy and Kathleen Hamzaj.
John Clark was an outgoing people person who never met a stranger, greeting everyone with a big smile and an even bigger hug. John's charm, charisma, wicked sense of humor and ability to make people laugh will be missed by all.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Cedar Rapids in the near future.
