Edwin Althoff, 78, died Friday, June 5, 2015, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Anamosa. Interment: St. Joseph Cemetery, Prairie-burg, with military honors. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. Monday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where a parish vigil service will be at 2 p.m.

Surviving are five sons, Daniel (Sue), Wyoming, Robert (Karen), Coggon, Donald (Jane), Onslow, Thomas (Jill Ary), Newhall, and Ronald (Julie), Olin; seven grandchildren, Briana, Joshua, Allison, Nichole, Caleb, Cameron and Noah; a great-grandson, Aidan; his brother, Charles (Geri), Cascade; and two sisters, Geraldine (Frank) Kintzle and Kathy Graham, both of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ann, in 1995; two sisters, Virginia Dzaboff and Elaine Kirsch; and a brother, Clarence.
