Edwin G. Albaugh, 66, of Coralville, died suddenly at his home Monday, June 12, 2017.
A gathering for family and friends to remember, share and support will be held Saturday, June 17, from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Coralville American Legion, where Ed always felt at home!
Edwin Glen Albaugh was born Dec. 1, 1950, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Frank and Wilma (Edwards) Albaugh. He attended schools here, graduating with the first class from West High School. For many years he worked for Iowa City Redi-Mix as a driver and before his retirement, worked for the city of Coralville in the Parks and Recreation Department.
His family includes three sons, Jason Albaugh and Melinda Smith and their children, Brynnleigh and Jessa; Brian Albaugh and Pakhong Patherangrin and his child, Daniea Jenkins; and Ryan Albaugh; Ed's three siblings, Gwen Beardshear, Julie Krell and Rick Albaugh; and Ed's former wife, Annie Kofron.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to help his family. Donations can be left at the Legion.
