Edward Allen Thompson, 78, of Northome, Minn., formerly of Vinton, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at his residence. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at First Christian Church in Vinton.
He was born June 6, 1936, in Vinton to Elmer and Pauline Thompson.
He is survived by his daughter, Becky (Paul) Herger of Vinton; four sons, Steve (Julie) of Carlisle, Kevin (Lynette) of Almont, N.D., Scott (Marilyn) of Devil's Lake, N.D., and Jeff (Molly) of Avon, Minn.; and his sisters, Carol (Bob) Simmons of Central City and Sharon (Larry) Williams of Vinton.
