Edward Dale Maschmann, 85, of Victor, died Jan. 1, 2018, at Brooklyn Community Estate in Brooklyn.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 5, at St. James Lutheran Church in Victor with Rev. Michael Kolesar officiating. Organist will be Pam Cronbaugh. Pallbearers will be Adam and Seth Meyer, Trenton and Matthew Maschmann and Duke and Ryan Wilgenbusch. Burial will be in the Victor Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor, with the family present from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. James Lutheran Church, Anna Purna Ghosh Foundation in Cedar Rapids to benefit cancer patients, or Hope Foundation Compass Memorial Healthcare.
He is survived by his wife, Janet of Victor; two daughters, Marilyn (Kurt) Meyer of Williamsburg and Lori (Terry) Collingwood of Ladora; a daughter-in-law, Diane Maschmann of Victor; four grandsons, Adam (Erin) Meyer of Williamsburg, Seth (Alexa) Meyer of Marengo and Trenton and Matthew Maschmann of Victor; and two great-grandchildren, Lane and Nolan Meyer. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott Maschmann; and a sister, Ruth Ann Williams.
