Edward D. Jones, 80, of Iowa City, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017.
A visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at Gay & Ciha Funeral Service, where a memorial service will begin at 4 p.m.

Edward Dean Jones was born Oct. 27, 1936, in Albia, Iowa, son of Glenn and Cora Jones. He graduated from Albia High School and spent many years working with his father in the Albia area. After moving to Iowa City, Edward ran his own plumbing business, Jones Plumbing & Heating, for many years and had spent the past 20 years owning and running his real estate management business in the area.
Edward enjoyed time spent golfing, playing racquetball at the Field House, and socializing at the Elks Club.
His family includes his children, Scott Jones (Randi) of Marshalltown and Kimberly Kay Jones of Okoboji; as well as several extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Donald Jones of Muscatine.
