Edward “Ed” Louis Mann, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, at Mercy Hospital after a long illness. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday Nov. 11, at Teahen Funeral Home.
Ed is survived by his wife, Lynn of Cedar Rapids; son, Eric Mann (Barry Dmytro) of Medford Wis.; daughter, Heather (Brad) Bunn of North Liberty; five grandchildren, Cassidy, Declan, Ryker McMahill, Hannah and Nolan Bunn; sister, Karen (Don) Saylor of Vinton; and two wonderful pussy cats.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Shirley; and niece, Danielle.
Ed was born Feb. 26, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Elwood and Shirley Cook Mann. He graduated Jefferson High School and Kirkwood Community College. Ed worked at Farmstead Meat Packing for 20 years and then at Whirlpool in Amana for 15 years, until his retirement in 2006. Ed loved his family dearly and took a lot of pride in his children and grandchildren.
