Edward James Cole, 83, a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids and member of the Ellis Park Church of God, passed away Sept. 8, 2014, in Mooresville, Ind.
He is survived by his three children, Marsha Lonabaugh of Indianapolis, Greg Cole of Cedar Rapids and Kevin Cole of Prescott, Ariz. He also is survived by his five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Uyls and Leota Cole; his brother, Guy Joe Cole; his infant daughter, Lanae Michelle; and his beloved wife of 40 years, Audine Cole.
Edward was a street maintenance worker until he retired. He had a love for gardening and horses.
He had a quiet, gentle spirit and was loved by all who knew him.
Funeral services: 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
