Edna Lucille Rowe, 91, of Moline, Ill., died Thursday, June 12, 2014. Services: noon Monday, June 16, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Center Point, conducted by Deacon Mark Sandersfeld. Family will greet friends before the service, from 10 a.m. to noon at the funeral home. Burial: Troy Mills

Survivors include her children, Robert (Julie) Rowe of Moline, Ill.,
Rhonda Rowe of Davenport and Ryan (Kaylie) Rowe of Moline, Ill.; brother, Charles (Nancy) Werner of Winthrop; a sister, Maxine Grissom of Center Point; four grandchildren, Stephen Rowe, Elliot Rowe, Neil Rowe and Skylor Adams; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband;
parents; and three sisters, Mable Rick (stepsister), Dorothy Werner and Marie (Werner) Cady.
Edna was born May 8, 1923, in Troy Mills, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Theresa "Tracy" (Novak) Werner. Edna graduated from Troy Mills High School in 1941 and then attended the Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She taught school at a
Buchanan County country school and also third and fourth grades at Quasqueton School. She worked at Continental Baking Co. in Waterloo, Iowa. Edna married Leland Wayne Rowe on Sept. 5, 1948, at the Little Brown Church Nashua, Iowa.
Edna was an avid gardener and loved working outdoors. She loved animals and had many dogs. She was a big Chicago Cubs fan. She lived in Burlington, Iowa; Chicago; Erie, Pa.; and most recently, Moline, Ill.
