Edna Mae Neville, 83, of Toledo, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama, with Phil Neville
officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.
Edna was born on July 24, 1938, in rural Toledo, Iowa, the daughter of Edward and Maymie (Haramza) Braye.
On May 1, 1956, she was united in marriage to William Neville in Kansas. Edna and William formerly owned Bill's Place Tavern in Tama. Edna was also a clerk at various retail stores in the area. She liked puzzles, word search books and embroidery. Edna enjoyed driving around town as she liked "being in the know!" Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons, Gene (Patricia) Neville of Marshalltown and Phil (Louanne) Neville of Cary, Ill.; two daughters, DeLynn (Dick) Rucker of Las Vegas, Nev., and Miranda (Tony) Kurtt of Wes Des Moines; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William, in 2004; two daughters, Peggy (Ron) Newmire and Becky Howe; one grandson; two brothers; and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Edna Mae Neville Memorial Fund.
