Edna Ruth Harris, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2016. Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with visitation starting at noon until service time. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Certified Celebrant Julie Freese will officiate.
Edna was born June 5, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Lee and Linden (Hall) Tucker. On Sep. 21, 1957, in Kahoka, Mo., she married William A. Harris. They had five children. Edna was a nurse tech at St. Luke's Hospital. She loved spending time with her family and doing needlepoint. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Edna is survived by her sons, Thomas Harris, Lary (Mindy) Harris and Gary (Sue) Harris; her daughters, Barb (Larry) Dickerson and Kathryn Walker; her brother, Lee Tucker Jr.; her grandchildren, Tanya Lemburg, Mike (Cara) Harris, Kent Walker, Matt Dickerson, Stephanie Dickerson and Chance Harris; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sisters, Mary and Phyllis; and brothers, Dean, Thomas and Earl.
