Edith Lurene McCright, 95, of Coggon, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014, at Summit Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care, Marion, following a brief illness. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5, at Zion Presbyterian Church, Coggon. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church on Monday. Burial: Coggon Cemetery. Arrange-ments by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sona (Ray) Christensen of Robins and Marvel Swanson of Coggon; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grand-children; brother, Henry Wagner of Minnesota; and sister, Martha (Andy) Andrews of Troy Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvie; parents, Henry and Ruth Wagner; three sisters, Margaret Wagner, who died in infancy, Olive Fisher and Helen Sauer; and son-in-law, Don Swanson.
Edith was born April 24, 1919, in Central City, the daughter of Henry and Ruth (Thompson) Wagner. She married Orvie Artell McCright on Aug. 24, 1938, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Edith's memory.
