Ed Harrison, 61, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be Sunday, Jan. 29, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Fredericksburg.

Ed was born June 11, 1955, in New Hampton, Iowa, to Raymond and Dorothy Rogers Harrison. He was raised and attended high school in West Union. Ed enlisted in the United States Navy in 1973 and honorably served until 1982.
He was employed for 32 years by Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC), where he was operations shift manager.
In 2002, he was united in marriage to Bonnie Lawrence in Cedar Rapids.
Ed enjoyed listening to music and taking care of his beloved cats.
Ed will be missed by his wife, Bonnie; his parents; one sister, Patricia Patterson; two brothers, Danny and Dale Harrison; and his cats.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
