Eckrich, Barbara Ann
UPDATED: times have been added for graveside services.
Barbara Ann Eckrich, 56, of Clinton, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, Nov. 8, 2010. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Graveside services will be performed 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, at Linwood Cemetery, 520 Wilson Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids.
Barb is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Jerry Eckrich; her children, Brett Eckrich and Lexi (Paul) Coberly; her two grandchildren, Jace and Amya Coberly; and her brother, Larry Karns of Murray, Ky.
Barb was born June 6, 1954, to the late John and Ethel (Johnson) Karns, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Over the years she has worked for AT&T and the Swisher Bank before she decided to go back to school at Kirkwood Community College. While her children were in school Barb was a very active volunteer at College Community Schools.
Barb loved her chocolate, Hawkeyes, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorial donations be made to the donor's charity of choice.
The family would like to thank Barb's mother-in-law, Dorothy Eckrich, Tonya Nelson, Cindy Monkman, Linda with the VNA, and the hospice volunteers for the loving and dedicated care they gave Barb.
