Earl Bruce Lagerquist, 80, of Marion, passed Friday, May 19, 2017, at Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Funeral service: 11 a.m. Monday, May 22, at Red Creek Lodge at Squaw Creek Park, Marion. Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Burial: Dunkard Cemetery, Toddville.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; children, Sheryl (David) Schlenker, Sally (Mark) Cross, Greg (Mary) Lagerquist, Stacy (Michael) Andersen and Sandra Lagerquist; grandchildren, Zachary, Erin (Craig), Tyler, Ryan, Katie and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Kresten, Reagan and Laney; sibling, Clifford (Lydia) Lagerquist; sister-in-law, Nadine Anderson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Earl Bruce Lagerquist was born Nov. 4, 1936, to Harry and Anna (Nielsen) Lagerquist, in Cedar Rapids. He attended Roosevelt High School. He married Barbara McDonald on March 5, 1955. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary this year with their fun, loving family. Earl worked at Collins Radio/Rockwell for 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Harry Jr., Paul, Donald, Dorothy, Carl and Wilbur Lagerquist.
Memorials may be made to the Anna Purna Ghosh Foundation or Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
