Earl Harry Seltrecht Jr., 88, of Palo, died at home on Saturday, June 24, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2023, at Spring Grove Cemetery by Penny Ackerman.
Earl is survived by his wife of 68 years, Pat; children, Steve (Sally), Matt, Bridget (Ron) Meyer, Gretchen Clark and Fred; and many grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Mark and Jeffrey; and daughter-in-law, Gayle.
Earl was born on Jan. 16, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, son of Earl and Grace Stambaugh Seltrecht Sr. He graduated from Palo High School. On Feb. 19, 1955, Earl married Patricia Wall at St. Patrick Catholic Church. He worked in maintenance for Collins Radio for many years.
Earl liked building street rods, traveling and going to races. He enjoyed having lunch with his friends, but loved time with his family. Earl will be missed.
