E. Wayne Scott, a true Renaissance man, passed away Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, in Spring Hill, Fla., formerly of Marion, Iowa. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 3855 Katz Dr. in Marion. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Rebecca Hinds officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, rural Marion.
Wayne was born on July 27, 1933, in Marion, Iowa, to C. Harold Scott and E. Colette (Iseminger) Scott. He graduated from Coe College in 1955 and served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Kathryn Swain in 1962; she preceded him in death. Wayne later married Ann Senisi on Oct. 6, 1990. His love for trains took him on many adventures and experiences. He enjoyed maps, photography, geology, music and much more. Wayne generously contributed his talents to many organizations, especially the Giacoletta Foundation and the Marion Senior Living Community. He accomplished his "bucket list" by visiting all 50 states and making a trip to Iceland.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Ann Scott; his children, Leslie (Mike) Kirby, Kreg "Scotty" Scott, Vincent (Jodi) Senisi, Margaret (Al) Wanders, Carolyn (George) Visintin, Danny (Victoria) Senisi, Michael (Alycia) Senisi and Ken (Meghan) Senisi. "Pappa" Wayne was loved by his grandchildren, Bryan, Rebecca, Kayla, Aliya, Joseph, Jack, Kenny, Anthony, Nichole, Dominick, Christopher, Lauren, Daniel, Tony, Kieran, Emary, Riley, Molly, Caroline and Christine.
