Dwight Stewart Winborn was born March 21, 1955, in Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Karl and Solveig (Waugen) Winborn. His education includes degrees from Williamsburg High School, a BA in Business Administration from the University of Iowa, and a BS in Nuclear Medicine from Weber State University. Dwight worked as a paramedic, radiologist and a teacher, eventually retiring in 2008. Dwight has lived in Urbandale, Durango, Colo., Rio Rancho, N.M., and most recently Williamsburg. Dwight was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed the outdoors. He cherished his time with his family. Dwight passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics at the age of 68 years.
Dwight is survived by his son, Logan Winborn, daughter, Kameko Winborn, brother, Erik Winborn, and mother, Solveig Moore of Williamsburg. He was preceded in death by his father, Karl Winborn, stepfather Charles D. Moore, and a brother, Jeffrey Winborn.
