Dwight Harold Jennings, 68, of Tipton, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015, at his home. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26, at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton. Funeral services for Dwight will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran in Tipton. Burial will follow at Tipton Masonic Cemetery. A luncheon will follow burial.
A memorial has been established and funds in Dwight's honor should be directed to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Dwight was born July 19, 1946, at Bellevue Hospital in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Herbert Harold and Ruth Lanetta (Wagaman) Jennings. Dwight graduated from Tipton High School in 1966. He was a self-employed lawn care and snow removal specialist. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tipton. Dwight was a Christian who was proud to say he walked with the Lord. He enjoyed bluegrass music, stock car races and going to Cedar Rapids Kernels games with his girlfriend, Christine. Dwight truly was a kind man and was always there to help others. He will be missed.
Dwight is survived by his special friend, Christine Williams; sisters, Mary (Bob) Lindemann and Ann (Jerry) Murphy, both of Iowa City, Sharon (John) Pease, Linda Jennings and Donna (Joe) Terfler, all of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Robert Jennings of Davenport and Chuck Jennings of Tipton; sister-in-law, Sandy Jennings of Davenport; brother-in-law, Phillip Chicchelly of Cedar Rapids; many nieces and nephews; and his dear cat, Tiger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Chicchelly; brother, Wally Jennings; sister-in-law, Patricia Jennings; and nephews, Kurt Gardner and Travis Jennings.
