Dvorak, Ruth Hedwig
Ruth Hedwig Dvorak, 79, of Belle Plaine, formerly of Chelsea, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, at First Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dean Duncan presiding. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Vining. Visitation will be from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Hrabak Funeral Home and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
She is survived by sons, Alan Dvorak of Belle Plaine and Dale (Vicki) Dvorak of Kirkland, Wash.; brothers, Byron (Sharon) Holst of Keystone and Les (Kay) Holst of Indianola; sisters, Olga (Vernon) Sikir of Belle Plaine and Carol McGinnis of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Ann Holst of Independence; and grandchildren, Stephanie Dvorak, Sarah Dvorak, Danielle Dvorak and Nathan Dvorak.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Stella Holst; husband, Robert “Bob”; and brother, Harvey Holst.
A memorial fund has been established.
