Dustin Ray LeGrand Iburg Vandersee, 28, passed away on the morning of Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at his sister's residence in Marion.
He was born in the late evening of Dec. 14, 1985, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Dustin was raised in Vandalia, Mo., from the age of five to 23. He was a graduate of Van Far High School. He had been blessed with the ability to work in multiple trades. He was involved with farming and carpentry, as well as being a very gifted welder. Once he moved to Iowa, he concentrated his talents on welding. Dustin was currently working with D.A.D. Manufacturing in Lisbon, a job he really loved which included his new TIG welder that he was very proud of and attached to.
Dustin is survived by the two loves of his life, his children, Landyn Grote, five years old, who resides in Missouri and Chloe LeGrand, three years old, who resides in Iowa.
He is also survived by his parents, Stacey (Mark) Iburg of Center, Mo., and Randy (Sally) Vandersee of Springville. He is survived by a brother, Matthew, of Missouri. He is survived by sisters, Emily and Christina, who live in Marion, Jill (Ryan) of Cedar Rapids and Katie of Springville. He has one niece, Brooke, of Springville, who he
adored.
He is also survived by multiple grandparents, aunts, and uncles and by his girlfriend, Sarah Slack of Cedar Rapids.
Dustin was preceded in death by multiple family members.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, with services starting at 7:30 p.m. at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices Mount Vernon Chapel, 715 10th Ave. SW, Mount Vernon, IA 52314.

In lieu of flowers and green plants, the family asks that memorials be directed to the funeral home. Memorial service will follow in Vandalia, Mo., at a later date.
Whether it was hunting, fishing or going off road and getting vehicles stuck, if it was outdoors he loved doing it.
