Dunn, David J.
David J. Dunn, 48, of North Liberty, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at his home. His family will greet friends Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at North Liberty United Methodist Church on Jones Boulevard. Friends may share stories between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City.
David was born Oct. 21, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Robert L. and Jean R. (Rogers) Dunn.
He loved fishing, his pet dog Moon, mushroom and fossil hunting and being in the woods. Many will remember David because he supplied them with firewood.
Survivors include his father, Robert L. Dunn of North Liberty; sister, Trisha Dunn of Los Angeles; and brothers: Robert B. Dunn (Carmen) of North Liberty and their children, Clinton Dunn of Los Angeles and April Peoples (Matt) and their son, Landon, all of Coralville; Jerry Dunn of Cedar Rapids, and Scott Dunn (Jodi) and their daughter Tia, all of North Liberty.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Jean Dunn; grandparents, Ruth Rogers, Clarence and Trudy Dunn; and his dog, Moon.
