Dunlap, Terry
Terry Dunlap, 52, of Hopkinton, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at his home following a sudden illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Church of Hopkinton, with interment in Hopkinton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. today at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello. Larry Lamont will officiate at the services.

Surviving are five sisters, Sandra Dunlap, Hopkinton, Vivian Thompson, Champaign, Ill., Ruth (Marlowe) Bacon, Coggon, Wanda (David) Klaren, Hopkinton, and Wendy Dunlap, Muscatine; and four brothers, Craig (Karen), Central City, Curtis (Linda), Ukiah, Calif., Kevin, Manchester, and Tony, Hopkinton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Kenneth, Richard and Clyde Jr.; and two sisters-in-law, Mona and Carol.
Terry James Dunlap was born Aug. 9, 1957, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Clyde and Marymaude Cornell Dunlap. Terry graduated from the Maquoketa Valley Schools in 1975 and then attended the University of Iowa. He later lived in Utah and California where he was employed by Rockwell Rocketdyne until he returned to Hopkinton in August 1990. In 1991, he became a very active member of the Presbyterian Church, later becoming a certified lay pastor. Since 1995, he had been a partner in Dunlap International, an import export company based in Central City. In April 2008, Terry became pastor of Cascade Presbyterian Church. He loved his ministry and life in general. He was a man of peace and could find humor in any situation. Through his work at Dunlap International he made friends throughout the world.
