Dunham, Michael Joseph
Michael Joseph Dunham, 46, of Manchester, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, of an apparent heart attack. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Manchester. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Memorial Room, St. Mary Catholic Church, with a 7 p.m. rosary service. Burial, with military honors: St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Manchester. Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Manchester is in charges of arrangements.
Michael was born April 20, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Terry L. and Jean (Wiewel) Dunham. He graduated in 1984 from Pleasant Valley High School in Bettendorf. Mike served with the United States Marine Corps from 1985 to 1989. He worked as a self-employed carpenter.
Michael enjoyed working with his hands, playing golf, and riding his Harley. He was a Hawkeye and New Orleans Saints fan, and enjoyed NASCAR.
Michael is survived by his parents, Jean (Sid) Carroll of Manchester and Terry (Linda) Dunham of Urbana; brothers and sisters, David Dunham of Donahue, Steve Dunham of Cedar Rapids and Nicole Litterer of Manchester, stepbrothers, Wayne Dunham of Urbana, Randy Carroll of Des Moines, and Greg Carroll of Davenport; his maternal grandmother, Bernadine Wiewel; and many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter Wiewel, Loran and Ila Dunham; a stepbrother, Kenneth Carroll; and an uncle, John Joyce.
A memorial fund has been established in Michael's memory.
