Duncan, Susan Jane
Susan Jane Duncan, 63, of Stanwood, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011, at home. Graveside services: 2:30 p.m. May 6 at Durant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Steve & Becky Duncan, P.O. Box 277, Clarence, IA 52216.
Sue was born Sept. 3, 1947, to Gladys and Jim Kinney of Oxford. She was employed by Hy-Vee Food Stores in Iowa City and the University of Iowa for many years. She married Marvin Duncan on May 28, 1991.
Sue is survived by daughter, Monica Miller Porter of Portage, Mich.; stepsons and stepdaughters, Sandy (Bill) Cripps of Melbourne, Dan (Christy) Duncan of Schuyler, Neb., Steve (Becky) Duncan of Clarence, and Tammy Carney of Tipton; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Duncan; her parents; infant daughter, Michelle; and brother, Tom.
