Duncan, Neil D.
Neil D. Duncan, 40, of Marengo, died Sunday morning, Dec. 19, 2010. Memorial services: 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at First United Methodist Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Katie Dawson officiating. The family will received friends from 1 to 4 p.m. at the church. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be directed to the Neil Duncan Memorial Fund, c/o Keystone Bank, Marengo.
Neil is survived by two daughters, Amber Meacham of Marengo and Shantelle Meacham of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Neal Duncan of Marengo and Rayden Duncan of Pella; a grandchild, Dakota Meacham; a brother, Merle Loren Hughes of Missouri; and six sisters, Janice Alford (Charles) and Kathy Haus (Charles), both of Marengo, and Sandra Hudson (Ed) of Des Moines, Sheila Hanzeo, Laurie Dawn Shinabargar, and Laurie Denise Smith, all of Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his biological parents, Daniel Duncan and Loretta Marriott; his “parents who raised him,” Virgil and Irene Duncan; and a brother, Raymond Duncan.
Neil Donovan Duncan was born Jan. 31, 1970, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Daniel Duncan and Loretta Marriott. He received his elementary education at Moulton Elementary and attended North High School in Des Moines. Neil loved listening to a variety of music genres, being with his friends and family and spending countless hours with his children.
He was loved and will be missed by his family and many friends.
