Duncan, Louisa K.
Louisa K. Duncan, 98, of Tipton, Iowa, died on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home in Tipton.
Louisa was born December 29, 1911 to Carl and Emma (Schroeder) Wieck in Cedar County, Iowa. She married Paul G. Duncan on January 26, 1935 in Mount Vernon, Iowa. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1966.
Louisa was a member of Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, Wilton, and the ladies aid at the church.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bentley Funeral Home, Wilton, Iowa. Additional visitation will be one hour before the service at Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, Wilton.
Services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church, Wilton.
Interment will take place at the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter-in-law Susan Duncan of Stanwood, Iowa; her grandchildren: Sandra (Bill) Cripps of Melbourne, Iowa, Daniel (Christy) Duncan of Schuler, Neb., Steven (Becky) Duncan of Clarence, Iowa, Tamara Carney of Tipton, Iowa, Adam Barger of Melbourne, Iowa, and Monica Porter of Portage, Mich,; 15 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and her sisters, Carlene Wieck of Wilton, Iowa, and Pearl Crispin of Tipton, Iowa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Marvin Duncan; her sisters, Margaret Johnson, Esther Norton and Mildred Figge; and her brother, Harold Wieck.
Memorial donations may be made to Sugar Creek Presbyterian Church in her memory.
