Duncan, David Carmichael
David Carmichael Duncan died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Lantern Park Care Center in Coralville, following a difficult bout with pneumonia.
David was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Edith and Floyd C. Duncan. Following graduation from high school in Davenport, David attended University of Iowa graduating from the College of Law. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 as captain of an artillery unit in Germany and Italy. Following military service, David joined Ford Motor Company in the office of the General Counsel, until his retirement in 1982.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by a host of friends, including Terry Tonnesson of Westcliffe, Colo., Tucca Maartens of New York City, Nicole Sheldon of Iowa City and Laura Lovell and Chuck Johnston of Iowa City.
Arrangements are with Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service of Iowa City. Burial will be in the Letts Cemetery in Letts, Iowa.
