Ducker, Jane Delores

Funeral services for Jane Delores Ducker, 80, of Tipton, who died Thursday, May 5, 2011, will be held Tuesday, May 10, at 10 a.m. at First United Church of Christ, Tipton, with Pastor David Lorenzen officiating. Graveside services for family and friends will follow at 3 p.m. at Faith United Church of Christ Cemetery in Tripoli, with Pastor Marilyn Sargent officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton.

Jane was born Jan. 2, 1931, the daughter of Edwin and Alice (VanSkyke) Niemann in Sumner, Iowa. She was a graduate of Sumner High School. On Aug. 29, 1948, Jane was united in marriage to Virgil Arnold Ducker at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sumner. She was a homemaker and was employed at the Tipton Conservative, retiring in 1993.

Jane was a devoted member of First United Church of Christ and Cedar County Piece Makers.

Jane is loved and survived by her husband, Virgil Ducker of Tipton; daughters, Ellen Ducker of Tripoli, Ann Ducker of Newhall and Mary (Steven) Brown of Solon; and sons, Craig Ducker of North Washington, Denis (Robin) Ducker of Tripoli, Daniel (Carolyn) Ducker of Tampa, Fla., and Matthew Ducker of Henderson, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her son, Lynn Ducker; parents, Edwin and Alice Niemann; sister, Carol Hudacek; and brothers, James, Eugene and Phillip “Pete” Niemann.
