Duane Lee Hill of 1961 Yellow Pine Pl., The Villages, FL 32462, formerly of Cedar Rapids, passed away July 21, 2015, at Lane Purcell Hospice House, Sumterville, Fla. His body was cremated.
Survivors include his wife, Susan; sons, Ron (Julie), Flora, Ill., Curt (Angela), Metamora, Ill., Alyssa, Brandon, Cory, Jacob and Baylee; brothers, Lester, Vero Beach, Fla., Eugene (Betty), Birmingham, Ala., and Keith, The Villages, Fla.; sister-in-law, Donna Hill, Cedar Rapids; stepchildren, Scott and Deb of Iowa and Florida; stepgrandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a 1961 graduate of Central City (Iowa) High School and previously was employed by Iowa Typewriter and Terry's Office Supply in Cedar Rapids. When he was younger, he worked with Nate and Betty Alden on the farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Pauline Hill; brother, Norman; grandson, Tyler Hill; aunt, Lucy and Ken Leroy; uncle, Mason and Jean Bunnell; grandma, Ethel Bunnell; and sister-in- law, Bobbie (Les) Hill.
