Duane Dale Alpers of Windsor Heights, Iowa, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 5, 2022, with his wife by his side, at Mercy One Hospice Care in Johnston, Iowa.
A private burial service will be held in Vinton, Iowa. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 15, at VFW 788 in Cedar Rapids. A small service and Celebration of Life will be held at Plymouth Church in Des Moines, TBD.
In lieu of flowers, his family asks that memorial donations be sent to the Eastern Iowa Honor Flight.
