Dryer (Gossman), Jennifer Lou
An angel was called back to heaven Dec. 2, 2012. Jennifer Lou Dryer (Gossman) was born Nov. 5, 1950, in Iowa City to Gordon and Doris (Corson) Gossman. She passed away at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a short battle with cancer. She lived in Marion until 1965 when her family moved to Dubuque. She moved back to Cedar Rapids after her mother passed away. She worked as a bartender and later in the fast food industry.
Jennifer is survived by a daughter, Heather Gossman; a son, Neil (Holly) Gossman; grandchildren, Gage and Elaine Gossman; a sister, Jean (Laurence) Sweet of Central City; a brother, Mark Gossman of Cedar Rapids; a sister-in-law, Kris Gossman of Texas; three nieces; three nephews; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Doris Gossman; and two brothers, Micheal and Jeffery Gossman.
Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
A celebration of life will be held at St. James Methodist Church, 1430 Ellis Blvd. NW, in Cedar Rapids from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15. Food and beverages will be served.
