Drop, Christopher 'Chris' A.
Christopher “Chris” A. Drop, 61, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at home of pancreatic cancer. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, Iowa City, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Chris was the clinical manager in respiratory therapy at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for many years. In 1991, he established Christoph's / Allan's Building and Design which specialized in kitchen and bath remodels and home construction.
Chris is survived by his wife, Ann; and their four children, Katherine “ Katie” Drop, Stephen Drop (Maren Stevens) and Elizabeth “Libby” Drop, all of Iowa City, and Matthew Drop (Christine Dudzik) of Tulsa, Okla.
In lieu of flowers, the Christopher Drop Memorial Fund has been established.
