Driscoll, Terrance Patrick 'Kink'
Terrance Patrick “Kink” Driscoll died Monday, June 3, 2013, in Middle Amana at the age of 59 years.
Terry was born May 19, 1954, in Holbrook, Iowa, the son of Patrick and Maxine (Goodman) Driscoll. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1972. On Jan. 28, 1978, he married Julie Schaefer at St. John's Lutheran Church, Homestead. He was in Iowa County law enforcement for 10 years and later retired from the heating and cooling industry. He enjoyed his pristine yard, beautiful garden, immaculate home, watching a great TV western or the TV show Pawn Stars, and multiple travels with his wife, family, and friends. Little people always had a special spot in his heart and Uncle Terry was always the great teaser. He has always had a love for turtles and most recently a special pet turtle, “Frankie.” Ter Ter will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Julie, of 35 years; a special niece “daughter,” Kristina (Nick) Warnemunde; six brothers, Mike (Becky) Driscoll, Bob (Linda) Driscoll, Dan (Jami) Driscoll, Jeff (Laura) Driscoll, Mark (Peggy) Driscoll and Kenneth Driscoll; four sisters, Chris (Tom) Jenkins, Judy (Gary) Stahl, Connie (Ian) Wicke and Mary (Ted) Johnstone; three sisters-in-law, Grace Schaefer, Jane (Jim) Welsh and Sue Schaefer; father-in-law, Victor Schaefer; nephews, Larry (Leah) Driscoll, Chad (Jodie) Driscoll, Cameron (Stacey) Driscoll, Keelan (Mindy) Driscoll, Jake and Evan Stahl, Adam and Grant Jenkins, Austin and Ryan Wicke, Lucas (Katie and Joel) Schaefer and Evan Schaefer; and nieces, Carisa (Jeff) Driscoll, Darcy (Perry) Rich, Gina (Patrick) Brummel and Sara Johnstone.
He was preceded by his parents, Patrick and Maxine; mother-in-law, Myrta Schaefer; and brother- and sister-in-law, Joel and Barb Schaefer.
Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg. Pastor Gary Van Heukelom will officiate. A private family burial will be at Middle Amana Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home, Williamsburg.
