Driscoll, Kevin J.
Kevin J. Driscoll, 38, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, from injuries suffered in an accident. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Jude Catholic Church, by the Rev. Mark Reasoner. Friends may visit with the family at Teahen Funeral Home from 2 until 8 p.m. on Monday and at the church after 10 a.m. Tuesday. A private family burial will take place at Mound Cemetery near Watkins at a later date.
Survivors include his father, William (Karen) Driscoll of Newhall; his mother, Jan Driscoll of Cedar Rapids; sisters, Julie (Troy) Haren of Ely and Jamie (Jeremy) Johnson of Cedar Rapids; nephews, Tyler and Justin Haren of Ely; nieces, Paige, Jordyn and Josie Johnson of Cedar Rapids; aunts and uncles, Donna Lahey, Jerry Driscoll, Jim Clark, Patricia (Vic) Butz and Judy Driscoll; and many cousins and friends.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and a cousin, Danny Butz.
Kevin Joseph Driscoll was born June 22, 1974, in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Jefferson High School. Kevin loved everything about his job and took pride in working at Sports Apparel. He loved buying friends and family T-shirts. Kevin also enjoyed watching the Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears, Cubs, and liked going to Rough Rider hockey games. He also enjoyed outdoor activities such as kayaking, hunting, golfing, and riding his bike. Kevin enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends and making people laugh. He was a big kid at heart and loved nothing more than spending time with his nieces and nephews.
