Drapeaux, Connie Lynn
Connie Lynn Drapeaux, 47, of Marion, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011, at her home following a long illness. A memorial gathering will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 289 14th St., Apartment 1, Marion. A second gathering will be from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at Wildcat Den State Park, Muscatine.
Survivors include her children, Shane (Karma) Drapeaux of Marion, Denise (Ernie) Hobel of Cedar Rapids and Sam (Courtney) Miller of Marion; and stepchildren, Mike (Carol) Miller of Dyersville, Frank Miller of Burlington, Melissa (Damon) McFall and Adam Miller, both of Champaign, Ill., Jessica (Scott) Snodgrass of Wichita, Kan., and Christopher (Traci) Svetlick of East Moline, Ill. Also her grandchildren, Jerald, Andrew, Hunter, Caty, Jonathan, Racheal, Joey, Justin, Chelsie, Jarred, Ian, Alian, Rayna and Cody; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Mike (Sharon) Jaster of Rock Island, Ill., Bill Jaster, Brian Jaster, John Jaster, James Jaster, all of Davenport, and Terry (Sheila) Jaster of Colona, Ill.; sister-in-law, Rosemary Jaster of Davenport; two nieces and two nephews.
Connie was born Jan. 8, 1964, in Moline, Ill., the daughter of Samuel and Joan (Humphrey) Jaster. She worked as a dietary aide at Willow Gardens.
Connie enjoyed crocheting, reading, and watching Ghost Hunters.
She also loved spending time with all of those she loved such as her grandchildren, kids, and other family.
She had the biggest heart and would help everyone she could.
Connie will always be loved and greatly missed by all of those whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Jaster and Joan Humphrey; grandmother, Rose Meyer; and brother, Steve Jaster.
