Draisey, Janet L.
Janet L. Draisey, 73, of 4410 Twin Pine Dr. NE, formerly of Jefferson, Iowa, died Friday, June 18, 2010, at her home. Per Janet's request there will be no services. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Perri (Kim) of Keota and Dana (Cindy) of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one sister, Donna (Dick) Monson of Gowrie; and five grandchildren, Dustin, Lucas, Trevor, Alexandra and Patrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a grandson, Zachary Ryan.
Janet was born Feb. 24, 1937, in Jefferson, the daughter of Henry and Sara Kiefer Geisler. She graduated from Drake University and married James P. ”Dick” Draisey on June 13, 1959, in Gowrie. He died in 2009. Janet was an elementary teacher for 23 years, teaching in the Perry and Jefferson school systems.
A memorial fund has been established in Janet's name.
