Dr. Robert L. Thurness, 79, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. An open house celebrating Robert's life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Clark Alumni House at Coe College, located at 200 College Dr. NE, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be made to the "Dr. Robert L. Thurness Educational Scholarship Fund" at the Marion Farmers State Bank, 1240 Eighth Ave., Marion, Iowa, 52302.
