Dr. Charles H. Read Jr., 97, longtime pediatric endocrinologist at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics died peacefully Sunday, Feb. 21, 2016, surrounded by his family. A time to remember Dr. Read for family and friends will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, at one of his favorite restaurants in Iowa City, Baroncini Ristorante Italino, 104 S. Linn St.
