Dr. Bob L. Steele, 73, passed away at Bishop Drumm Retirement Center on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
He was born in Kirksville, Mo., on Feb. 21, 1945, to Cecil and Reva (Daniels) Steele. He retired in June 2002 from his position as chief administrator of Green Valley Area Education Agency in Creston, after
32 years working in the field of education
in Missouri and Iowa.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy (Zeigler) Steele; his three daughters, Keri Steele of Altoona, Koni Steele and husband, John Deeth, and their two sons, Hayden and Ethan Cox of Iowa City, and Lori Steele and husband, Mickey Cook, and their son, Owen of Nichols; and his sister, Sandra Steele of Arkansas.
A memorial service will be held at noon Friday at the Merle Hay Funeral Home Chapel, 4400 Merle Hay Rd., Des Moines. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 11 a.m. until service time.
