Doyle, James H.
James H. Doyle, 70, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
James Doyle was born Aug. 5, 1942, at Rockford, Ill., the son of Donald T. and Ailsa (Smith) Doyle. He attended Jefferson High School at Independence, Iowa. James was a veteran of the Air Force. On Aug. 6, 1966, he married Lois VonLehmden in Independence and the couple made their home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He had worked for Rockwell Collins for 35 years in Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Doyle, Cedar Rapids; two sons, John Doyle, Marion, and Michael (Sarah) Doyle, Cedar Rapids three grandchildren, Erin, Izzy and Ella Doyle; one brother, Dave (Judy) Doyle of Independence; and two sisters, Kathy Doyle of Newton and Jeannie (Scott) Ferguson of Orinda, Calif.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
