Douglas Eugene Schoff, 90, passed away peacefully August 16, 2025. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 22, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom, Cedar Rapids. A funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 23 at First Presbyterian Church, Cedar Rapids. Interment with military rites will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Doug was born on August 24, 1934, in Lowden, Iowa. After high school, in 1956, he enlisted in the United States Army. After his time in the military, Doug returned home. He farmed for several years and then worked as a machinist. After retirement, he enjoyed his knife sharpening business. Doug enjoyed bowling and cheering for the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Doug is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judy; daughter, Marlene Small; sister-in-law, Karen (late Rocky) Pence, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sharon (Donald) Beatty.
