Dorothy E. Willingham, 84, of Oelwein, died Saturday morning, May 21, 2016, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital in Waterloo.
Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with Carol Hamilton presiding. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and one hour before services Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.

Dorothy Elizabeth Schmidtke was born Feb. 3, 1932, in Stanley, Iowa, the daughter of Rudolph F. and Mareva Agnes (Sheeley) Schmidtke. She graduated from Stanley High School in the Class of 1950. Dorothy was united in marriage to Kenneth Jean Willingham on Aug. 22, 1950, in Preston, Minn.
She was a homemaker and longtime Oelwein resident. Dorothy owned Bob-O-Links Pizza Nook and made pizzas at various other establishments for many years, always making the best pizzas in Oelwein.
Dorothy was the caregiver in the family. She helped take care of her parents, brothers and sisters and her husband. Dorothy always was there to take them to their appointments or just take them for a ride through the Amish community or anywhere they wanted to go. She enjoyed her many Mother's Day trips to Branson, Mo., with her daughter, Julie.
Dorothy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Oelwein American Legion Auxiliary.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Julie A. Willingham of Oelwein; sister-in-law, Dorothy Schmidtke of Elkader; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth, on Oct. 21, 1992; six brothers, Leo, Harold, Donald, Robert, Eldon and Harry; and three sisters, Lois Harper, Lavon Clay and Doris Nading.
