Dorothy L. Russell, 95, of Mechanicsville, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. Visitation: 4:00-6:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2025, Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon, Iowa. Funeral: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, First Presbyterian Church, Mechanicsville, Iowa. Burial: White Oak Cemetery.
Dorothy was filled with positive energy and joy. She was never content just belonging to an organization, but served on boards, committees, and as an officer for so many. Dorothy Russell worked tirelessly to make her community, country, and the world a better place.
Memorials will be directed to favorite charities by the family. Or please donate to an organization of your choice that will make the world a better place.
