Dorothy Lucille Krakow, 88, of Marengo, died Friday, March 27, 2015, at Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo. Funeral services: 2 p.m. Monday, March 30, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Andrew Gray
officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Marengo Memorial Hospital or the American Heart Association.
Dorothy is survived by her brothers, Lyle Kurth (Carol) of Robins and William Kurth (Doris) of Marengo; brothers-in-law, Clarence Krakow (Kathy) of Belle Plaine and Wayne Krakow (Else) of Marengo; sisters-in-law, Lillie Schmutz of Muscatine and Sylvia Kurth of Grand Terrance, Calif.; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Verna and Florence Kanke Kurth; her husband, George Krakow, on Dec. 6, 2014; and her siblings, Orlin Kurth, Naomi Krakow, Robert Kurth and Maxine Slaymaker.
