DOROTHY "DOTTIE" KOLLMANN
Greene
Dorothy Marie Kollmann (Dottie K.) passed away Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, in Champaign, Ill.
She was born Feb. 14, 1926, on a farm near Greene, Coldwater Township, Butler County, Iowa. Preceding her in death were her parents, Fred W. and Mata (Fick) Kollmann; her twin brother, Frederick, at birth; brothers, Marvin (Gladys), and Glenn (Erna), both of Waterloo; and her sister, Coleen (Philippe) Courvoisier of Greenville, Ill.
She is survived by her loving and caring nieces, Joan (John) Crisman of Gainesville, Fla., and Nancy (George Ringler) Courvoisier of Champaign, Ill.; and nephews, Steven (Ellen) Kollmann of Northbrook, Ill., and David (Victoria) Courvoisier of Las Vegas, Nev.
She was married to Robert M. Rich, Raymond Smith Jr. and James G. Armstrong, all of the Waterloo area, and deceased. Also preceding her in death was her all-time very best buddy, Schatzy.
Dottie loved lightening the lives of all with sing-alongs of the old, foot-stompin' music while playing the Hammond organ in cocktail lounges, and amusing her audiences with comedy befitting the atmosphere.
As her 1943 Waverly, Iowa, high school annual stated she was, indeed, "A Friend to Man."
